Debra Norland

Debra Norland is the founder of Logos Academy. She is our School Administrator and Band Director. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Biblical Studies from Northwest Christian College along with both a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in Music Education with emphasis in instrumental conducting from the University of Oregon. Debra is listed in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers and was invited to be a member of the National Association of Professional Women.

Mrs. Norland has taught in both public and private schools, including Eugene Christian School and Garden Way Christian Academy. She was the Choir Director and Co-YouthDirector of Jasper Christian Church. She has taught private music lessons for decades and has done the accounting and secretarial work for her family’s businesses. Debra brings nearly fifty years of music background to our band classes. She was the high school state champion flute soloist her senior year in high school and has led our top band to the 2A state band championship title several times.

Debra is the mother of the same five children Dan is the father of, and the terribly proud grandmother of the same adorable grandson. She lives with Mr. Norland and some of their children on the same small farm just south of Eugene.
