Loretta Schanz


Loretta SchanzLoretta Schanz teaches Math and Chemistry Lecture at Logos and is our Guidance Counselor. She has been affiliated with Logos since 1992 and has been teaching here since 2003. She brings absolute academic excellence to our faculty. Mrs. Schanz was valedictorian of her high school graduating class of 418 students. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of California at Long Beach. She holds a Master of Arts from the University of Oregon, where she was a graduate teaching fellow. Loretta majored in math, minored in German and holds a lifetime California teaching credential in secondary education. Mrs. Schanz is also an accomplished musician and has been a member of the Eugene Symphony.

Loretta has taught at Garden Way Christian Academy, Lane Community College, and Northwest Christian University. She home schooled her two sons through all their academic years. Both boys were part of the Logos Academy Band program during their middle school and high school years. Loretta lives in Springfield with her retired husband, Larry, and one of their
sons.
