Having your child color laying on their belly, propped up on their elbows, or drawing on an easel can also help to build up more muscles that connect to a child’s stability. Who wouldn’t want to give their child an Effortless Art experience coloring knowing that all that fun being had creating, is really helping to support a child’s development? I know that using Effortless Art Crayons have been so beneficial for our 4-year-old son, who has been using the crayons since he was 1. Here he is pictured, only 2 and already on his way to achieving a tripod grip! We are so excited and have loved to watch him grow and develop!.
Colors are a very effective and vivid way of interacting with our brains. Often people use extensive explanations and paragraphs to describe a particular situation or a topic. It seems as if words are sometimes simply inadequate to convey a message efficiently in a way that facilitates retention. It is as if the brain finds it difficult to assimilate it. However, by drawing a picture or a sketch, it automatically “speaks a thousand words”.
Stimulates Creativity, coloring gives your kids an opportunity to express their creative side. A child makes an imaginary world in his mind before drawing the picture on the sheet. So, hand your kids a box of crayons and set them free. This can lead to many highly desired outcomes. It allows your children to think about the different color combinations that he or she can use to give an appealing look to the picture. Do not fret if your kids are not coloring properly or if he is coloring outside the lines. Praise them for his effort. If you see your kids making mistakes while coloring, help them with it instead of chiding. Teach him how to fill a space and do up and down stroke. You can also teach him to use complementary colors to make the picture appear more vibrant. coloring is also an excellent medium of expression. Children often express their personality through drawing and coloring.
Paint some memories this summer, It’s so important for your child to not only experience art, but to use it as a jumping off point for other skills. Language, social skills, and fine motor skills can all be fostered in creating works of art together. Every child is an artist. Every child is born with the curiosity, imagination, and wonder to create beautiful masterpieces. From finger painting, to coloring, to sculpting, when children experience making something of their own, it brings a sense of pride and accomplishment. I know our son LOVES to do “projects”, as he calls them.
It basically anchors two features, providing a common point for both. Our brains think in images. While other sources like anatomical atlases also illustrate structures associated with terminology, they lack consistency. The colors used vary an incredible amount. In contrast, a coloring book asks you to use one single color, creating a connection inside your brain which allows you to recall it later on.
Make it colorful and you could say things that words cannot and help the brain remember them in the future. Learning anatomy is a tedious task. It might be extremely interesting, but reading through pages and pages of writing can sap the energy out of anyone. You might argue that anatomy books and atlases have illustrations to aid understanding and to make the subject less dry, which is totally true. However, while understanding is the critical first chain in the link of learning, memorization is the second. To be able to recall the information later on you need to also memorize it. Just like a chain is as strong as its weakest link, any interruption can pose a barrier to your anatomy learning.
